Sergio Scaglietti

Born in Modena in 1920, at the age of 13 Sergio Scaglietti started a job as an apprentice in a body shop. In 1953, when he repaired and remodeled a damaged Ferrari, he was tried by Enzo Ferrari, who decided to entrust the task of moving the new Ferrari 500 Mondial. In the following years, the cars that made the history of the Casa di Maranello were born, among the most famous models: the 750 Monza, the 375 MM, the 250 SWB, the 250 Testa Rossa, the 250 GT / L, the 250 GTO and still 275 LM, 275 GTB, Dino 308 GT / 4 and 365 GTB / 4 Daytona.

In 2004 Ferrari, as a sign of gratitude, dedicated a coupé to him, the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti. An extraordinary honor, if we think that Scaglietti is the only person to have seen a Cavallino car alive bearing his name.

Sergio Scaglietti has always declined the numerous requests to operate outside the Ferrari area. The only exception is represented by the very elegant bottle specially designed and signed for Donelli Vini as a sign of friendship and esteem towards Antonio Giacobazzi. An extraordinary synthesis of the friendship between two Modenesi D.O.C. in love with their city, Ferrari and good wine, especially Lambrusco.
